Gospel
At Ascend Nashville, we believe that our entire existence is centered around the Gospel. Proclaiming, living out and experiencing the Good News of Jesus is our life’s mission. The Gospel is the life, victory and promises that we have due to the finished works of Jesus.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the fullness of the Holy Spirit by way of a surrendered life unto God. We believe in practical holiness and sanctification by God’s Spirit. We believe in the gifts, power, and manifestation of the Holy Spirit within a believer’s life.
Discipleship
Discipleship is a believer’s response to the Gospel. Discipleship is following Jesus and allowing God to use our lives to teach others how to follow Him. It is where we share our lives with others and form a community of people who are one in the Lord.
House of Prayer
Prayer is the foundation of the church. We will be a “House of Prayer,” that will lead the way in developing cultures of prayer throughout our communities. Every person will be encouraged to step into an effective prayer life, actively engaging God, and remaining in communion with God’s Spirit.
Transformation
Coming to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior is a big deal here at Ascend Nashville, but we are also aware that salvation is just the starting line. The next step of our race is transformation. We believe in and center our efforts around the practical leading, sanctification, and change within our lives. Becoming more like Christ is our mission. Transformation through God’s Spirit is how we get there.
